Profile: Ed Luker – London
“I have been teaching English as a Foreign Language since 2008. I have extensive experience of teaching people from all over the world, for different needs.
After completing a BA in Philosophy and English Literature at the University of Sussex, I had a strong desire to teach. I gained my CELTA at ITTC College, an internationally recognised school in Bournemouth. I was trained by first class, British Council accredited teachers. In 2009 I achieved the Initial Teacher Training qualification PTTLS from Glyndwr University / University of Wales.
I regularly teach high level students English for academic purposes as well as business English for everyday use and business situations. Much of this work is delivered on a one-to-one basis.
I completed an MA in Philosophy and English at the University of Sussex. During my studies I have worked for two reputable language schools in Brighton.
I have a firm belief in learner focussed methods. I believe that the learner must have an active involvement in their own learning.
I am experienced in teaching students from many different cultures including Europe, South East Asia, South & Central America, and Middle East. I can teach people English for their studies, for University skills, for business or just for personal use.
As your personal tutor, I will provide you with the right style of learning for your personal needs. Contact me for a free consultation, where I can provide further information.”
